Deleting Items or Modifying Quantity From Working Shipments in Send to Amazon

Learn how to remove items from Amazon shipments after paying for shipping using Send to Amazon and Seller Central workarounds.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Amazon has recently removed the option to delete items from shipments that are in "working" status. However, there is a workaround that allows you to remove items after the shipment has been paid for. This process can currently only be done through Seller Central.

Note: These Steps will only work for shipments submitted via Feeds. If using 2D Barcodes, and you need to remove an item, you will need to close the batch manually, delete any already created shipments from Seller Central, restore the batch, and then remove any items/quantities that are not needed.

If you need to delete an item from a box, you must be sure that there are other items included in the shipment, as Amazon will not allow you to delete the entire box if it causes the shipment to be deleted.

Once you have confirmed the details of your shipment, follow the steps below:

1. Complete your Shipment and Pay for Shipping

To start, you will need to complete your shipment and pay for shipping. To complete this within InventoryLab, you can review these articles depending on your workflow:

2. Convert the Shipment to Send to Amazon in Seller Central

1. Once you have estimated your charges, navigate to Seller Central and locate the shipment:

2. Select Work on Shipment>Convert to Send to Amazon.

Note: Once you convert the shipment to Send to Amazon, no further changes can be made to the shipment within InventoryLab.

3. Select Convert on the pop-up:

3. Edit the Contents of your Shipment

1. Click View or Edit Content.

2. Edit the quantity of units in the shipment, OR delete the item entirely.

3. Select Validate updates:

4. Click Confirm and Submit.

And you're done. You can print your updated box and shipping labels from within Seller Central.

Note: You CANNOT delete the box entirely. If there is only one item in the box, you will not be able to delete and will only be able to modify the # of units by 5% or 6 units, whichever is greater.
