Chrome/Edge 147 Update: Allowing Printer Access for QZ Tray

Fix InventoryLab printing issues in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge and learn how to enable permissions and resume label printing.

Updated today

Version 147 of both Chrome and Edge introduced a new security feature called Local Network Access (LNA). This affects how InventoryLab's IL Print connects to QZ Tray for printing labels in Prep & Ship.

If you're unable to print, you may need to update your browser permissions.

How to Fix It

  1. To the left of the address bar, click the lock or site settings icon.
    โ€‹

  2. Turn the toggle on, and then click Reset permissions.
    โ€‹

  3. The browser will ask to reload the page. Click Reload.
    โ€‹

  4. Click Allow when the permission request appears.

  5. Refresh the page again and try printing.

While this may seem like a change, itโ€™s simply part of browser security updates. Once access is allowed, InventoryLab and QZ Tray will continue working together as expected, so you can get back to printing and shipping without disruption.
