When creating a shipment, you’ll need to select the Shipping Mode. This determines how your inventory will be transported to Amazon.
Small Parcel Delivery (SPD)
For individual boxes under 150 lbs each.
Shipped by common carriers such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS.
Best for smaller shipments or when sending cartons directly.
Less Than Truckload (LTL)
For palletized shipments over 150 lbs.
Your pallets share space on a truck with other shipments.
Best for larger, consolidated shipments where Freight is more cost-effective.
The following requirements apply to all boxes shipped to Amazon fulfillment centers, whether by Small Parcel Delivery (SPD), or Less Than Truckload (LTL).
