How to Add Case-Packed Items to Your Shipment
How to Add Case-Packed Items to Your Shipment
Updated over a month ago

The new Amazon API handles case-packed items differently than before. Amazon now defines an item as case-packed if you have identical single-SKU boxes with the same dimensions, weight, and number of units per box. This allows you to mix individually packed items and case-packed items within the same inbound plan. We'll take you through how to add case-packed items to your shipment!

First, when adding items to your batch, enter the total number of units, regardless of whether they are packed individually or in cases.

In the Box It phase, you can use the Quick Box feature for easier case packing. Take the below steps to do so:

  1. Click Quick Box under an MSKU.

  2. Enter your Box Dimensions and the Total Boxes, Units per box, and Weight under Boxing Plan.

Note: Make sure that you have identical single-SKU boxes with the same dimensions, weight, and number of units per box. If you add items or change dimensions after creating your cases, they will no longer be recognized by Amazon as case packs.

3. Click Create and Pack # Boxes.

The identical boxes you requested will be generated instantly.

Note: The boxes created will not auto-fill any existing empty boxes. For example, if you have an empty Box 1, it will start with creating Box 2, and Box 1 will remain empty. If you need Box 1 filled, add your quantities and dimensions to that box first, and either continue with Quick Box or use the Copy Box feature.

And that's it! Make sure to review Amazon’s case pack requirements before sending in a case pack shipment.
