Updated in the last hour

This guide will walk you through creating FBA shipments without providing detailed box content information to Amazon.

Note: Please keep in mind that not providing box-level content information will result in a manual processing fee from Amazon.

Turn Box Contents Off

Option 1: Create a Batch with Box Contents Off

  1. Create a new batch. When you reach the Batch Settings screen shown below, in the Box Contents dropdown, choose Off - Manual Processing.

  2. Click Start Your Batch to move on to Find It once you're happy with your batch settings. Then skip down to Find It below.

Option 2: Turn Box Contents Off for an Existing Batch

If your batch has already reached the Find It or Box It step, you can still turn Box Contents Off!

  1. Click the kebab menu next to the name of the batch on the left. Choose Edit Batch Information.

  2. Click the slider next to Box Contents to turn it off.

  3. Click Save.

Your batch now has Box Contents Off! Keep reading below if you're on the Find It step now. If you've already made it past Find It, skip down to Box It.

Find It

  1. Search for and list your items as usual. For detailed instructions, check out this article: Searching the Catalog.

  2. Proceed to the Box It or Plan It (for LTL Pack Last only) stage by clicking Continue to Box It or Continue to Plan It.

Plan It - LTL Pack Last Only

  1. When the new window opens, click Confirm and Continue.

  2. In Plan It, you will be provided with different Placement Options. Review them and select yours.

    1. You can sort the Placement options by Inbound Placement Fee or Total Destinations.

    2. You can also Generate New Options if the suggested ones don’t work for you.

  3. Select a Placement Option.

  4. Review the details on the right side of your screen.

  5. If you are satisfied with the results, click Confirm Placement Option at the bottom. Here, you can also print your Shipping Manifests.

Box It

  1. When the new window opens, click Start Boxing My Batch.

Your items may be separated into pack groups by Amazon. If so, you'll see Group # tabs at the top of the screen.

All the items on the right side of your screen belong to the currently selected group. They can all be boxed together with items in the same group, but must be boxed separately from items in different groups.

  2. If you didn't print the labels for your items in Find It, now is the time. Click the checkbox icon above the items on the right to open Bulk Edit.

Tick the boxes next to each item you'd like to print labels for, or tick the Select All box at the top to select everything in this group at once. You can then use the printing options at the bottom of the screen to print your labels.

Note: Use Print Labels for a thermal label printer or Print 30 Up Labels for anything else. If printing for multiple items at once, leave the number of labels blank to automatically print the exact number of labels needed.

  3. Box all your items for your selected group. If you end up using more than one box, click + New Box until you have all the boxes you need in InventoryLab.

  4. Click on the first box in this group. Enter the box's length, width, height, and weight.

Repeat for each box in the group.

  5. If you have more than one group, repeat steps 2, 3, and 4 for each additional group.

  6. Click Next.

If you forgot to add dimensions and weight for any of your boxes, you'll be prompted to do so now. Fill out all fields and then click Save and continue.

Note: Correct weights/dimensions aren't needed if you're using 2D barcodes for LTL. Amazon only checks the Pallet weight and dimensions.

Ship It

  1. After clicking Save and continue, select your Ship Date and click Confirm. This is the date the shipment will be ready for pickup.

  2. After confirming, you will have to wait until Amazon provides placement options for your shipments. Based on the number of items and boxes, this process can take up to 10 minutes.

  3. In the new window, you will see all the Placement Options available. Click an option to show detailed information.

    5. Click Confirm Placement.

    6. Review your charges and click the checkbox to accept the fees. Confirm by clicking Purchase All Shipping Labels.
